Dr. Thiago Mathias de Oliveira is a Speech Pathologist and Audiologist with expertise spanning communication disorders, engineering, computational modelling, and environmental sciences. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication Disorders from Tuiuti University of Paraná, Brazil, and a Ph.D. in Science from the Federal University of Technology – Paraná (UTFPR). He is currently a researcher at Positivo University, Brazil, and a Visiting Researcher at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia. His research focuses on computational modelling of biological systems, cochlear biomechanics, vibroacoustics, environmental noise, and auditory risk assessment. Through an interdisciplinary approach, he integrates engineering, physics, audiology, and environmental sciences to advance understanding of auditory function and noise-induced hearing effects.
