Laura De Gara is a distinguished Italian scientist and academic, specializing in plant physiology, food science, and nutrition. She is a Full Professor at the Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and plays a leading role in academic research and university administration.She graduated in Biological Sciences with honors in 1981 and began her academic career as a researcher in botany at the University of Bari. Over the years, she progressed to Associate Professor and later became a Full Professor of Plant Physiology. In 2009, she joined the Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma as a full professor.
