Dr. Htoo Htoo Sandi Kyaw is an Assistant Professor at the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT), Japan. He is part of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, working under the guidance of Professor Nobuo Funabiki. His research focuses on enhancing programming education through innovative methods such as serious games, gamification, and programming learning assistant systems. These approaches aim to support novice students in learning programming by making the process more interactive and engaging. Dr. Kyaw has contributed to various publications in this field, emphasizing the integration of game-based elements and intelligent feedback mechanisms to improve student motivation and understanding.Prior to his current position, Dr. Kyaw was a PhD student at Okayama University, Japan, where he worked in the Department of Information and Communication Systems under Professor Funabiki’s lab. During his time at Okayama University, he was involved in research related to programming learning systems, including the development of Java Programming Learning Assistant Systems (JPLAS) aimed at aiding students in mastering programming concepts.
