Dr. Xiaomo Jiang is a distinguished professor of Energy and Power Engineering at Dalian University of Technology, where he serves as Director of the Provincial Key Lab of Digital Twin for Industrial Equipment and the Institute for Carbon Neutrality. His research focuses on smart maintenance, digital twin and AI for Science (AI4Science) applications in large turbomachinery under uncertainties. Dr. Jiang earned his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University (OSU) in 2005 and an MEng from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2000, specializing in intelligent systems. Prior to academia, he accumulated over a decade of industry experience as a Senior Engineer and Technical Leader at Ford Motor Company and General Electric (GE), where he developed AI-driven solutions for remote monitoring, diagnostics, and prognostics of energy and power equipment. As a prolific scholar, Dr. Jiang has co-authored over 100 journal papers, 1 book, and 11 book chapters, as well as over 30 patents in the cross-disciplinary fields of physics-informed deep learning, lightweight modeling, and advanced statistics. His work has earned him consistent recognition as an Elsevier Highly Cited Chinese Researcher and a Top 2% Most-Cited Scientist Worldwide (Stanford University ranking).
