Robin Chhabra, PhD, PEng (SMIEEE, MAIAA) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical, Industrial, and Mechatronics Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University and Director of the ELIXIR Lab. He previously served as a Tier-II Canada Research Chair in Autonomous Space Robotics and Mechatronics at Carleton University. Dr. Chhabra earned his M.A.Sc. (2008) and Ph.D. (2013) from the University of Toronto. Before joining academia, he conducted applied research on space system dynamics and control at MDA Space. His research focuses on embodied artificial intelligence, geometric mechanics, and nonlinear control to develop advanced methodologies for the intelligence and autonomy of robotic systems.
