Dr. Yu Dongxing is an Associate Professor and Director of the Institute for Sustainable Development in Education at Shanghai Sanda University, China. He holds a Ph.D. in Literature (International Chinese Language Education) from East China Normal University and has held visiting positions at Harvard University, University of Regina (Canada), Aarhus University (Denmark), and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (USA).

Dr. Yu is a pioneering researcher at the intersection of artificial intelligence, educational technology, and cognitive science. He founded China’s first university-level Educational Metaverse platform (Sanda Edu-Cosmos) and the Sanda VR Education Laboratory. His recent publications appear in Springer’s *Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems*, *Information* (MDPI), *Forum for Linguistic Studies*, and IEEE conference proceedings, covering topics including AI consciousness, multimodal LLMs, tactile feedback in VR systems, and human-computer creativity.

He is an IEEE member, serves on the editorial boards of several international journals, and has delivered keynote speeches at major conferences including Computing Conference 2025 (London), CEII 2024 (Singapore), and the Harvard-EdUHK-Stanford Emerging Technology Forum (2025).
