Prof. Jordi Garcia is a senior researcher at UPC BarcelonaTech. His early research focused on optimization techniques for supercomputing, runtime optimization for parallel execution, and cooperation between operating systems and runtime systems. His current research focuses on intelligent resource management across the cloud continuum, efficient ML-based orchestration of large-scale heterogeneous environments, and the conceptualization and design of intelligent meta-operating systems (metaOS) for the cloud continuum. Prof. Jordi Garcia has published more than 120 papers in international journals and conferences, and led several national and international research projects.
