Dr. Mounira Mkaddem GUEDRI is an Associate Professor of Higher Education in Plant Biology at the Preparatory Institute for Engineering Studies of Gabes (IPEIGb), affiliated with the University of Gabes, Tunisia. She earned her University Habilitation in Biological Sciences in 2023 from the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis, with a focus on the valorization of medicinal plants, their biological activities, and their phytoremediation potential. Her academic journey also includes a PhD in Plant Biotechnology (2007), a Master of Advanced Studies (DEA) in Plant Physiology (2000), and a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences (1998), all from the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis.

Currently, she conducts research at the Laboratory of Energy, Water, Environment, and Processes (LEEEP – LR18ES35) at the National Engineering School of Gabes, which enhances her expertise in occupational health and safety management.
