Gilberto Garcia del Pino holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the José Antonio Echeverría Polytechnic Institute, Havana, Cuba (1981), a Master’s degree in Engineering (1997) and a PhD in Engineering (2001) from the University of São Paulo, and completed a postdoctoral program in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at the same university in 2017. He is a Full Professor at the State University of Amazonas and a permanent board member of the Mechanical Engineering Graduate Program at the Federal University of Amazonas. His expertise spans Mechanical and Materials Engineering, with emphasis on manufacturing processes, including finite element analysis, biomechanics, tool materials, natural fiber composites, CNC machining, biomaterials, and 3D printing. He has published over 160 scientific articles with more than 690 citations.
