Jephin Alex John, MD is a surgical resident with a strong interest in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery. He has clinical experience across European healthcare systems, having worked in Spain and currently in Switzerland. He is completing his residency year at a private plastic surgery clinic in Cham (ZG), where he actively assists in a broad range of aesthetic and reconstructive procedures, including preoperative planning, surgical assistance, and postoperative care. He is the first author of a peer-reviewed case report accepted in the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery (JPRAS) on the multidisciplinary management of infected Morel-Lavallée lesions. His clinical and academic interests include trauma-related soft tissue reconstruction, wound healing, and collaborative surgical care, with a long-term goal of pursuing General Surgery residency toward FMH recognition in Plastic Surgery.
