Hiroshi Asahara, MD, PhD, is Professor of Molecular and Cellular Biology at the Institute of Science Tokyo, Japan, and faculty at the Scripps Research Institute, USA. He has pioneered research in musculoskeletal biology, stem/progenitor cells, and gene regulation using integrative multi-omics approaches. He co-developed the Localizatome database (Database, 2024), revealing stress-dependent protein localization dynamics. Dr. Asahara has received national and international awards, serves on editorial boards and scientific committees, and leads programs such as AMED-CREST/PRIME in Japan.
