Dr Evangelos Spyrou is currently a Research Associate at the Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT) of the Center for Research and Technology Hellas and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the University of Ioannina in Greece, working mainly on wireless communications, as well as optimization models, applied to the transport domain. His research interests include wireless networks and applying game-theoretic models to them, stochastic network optimization, and practical algorithms of wireless parameters from the physical to the network layer. He has a BSc in Computing and an MSc in Embedded Computer Systems Engineering from the Northumbria University of Newcastle, UK, and a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He has experience in wireless communications, working in several projects, as well as software development for safety-critical systems. He has served as a reviewer of the Internet of Things and IEEE Transactions Journals. He is currently a Reviewer of MDPI and IEEE journals.
