Dr. Liucheng Guo, SMIEEE, FIET, FBCS, FRSA is a noted researcher, innovator, and entrepreneur specializing in the convergence of artificial intelligence, embedded systems, hardware-software co-design, and sustainable human-machine interfaces. After completing his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence at Imperial College London, and further training in entrepreneurship (Stanford Business School), Dr. Guo co-founded Tangi0 (TG0) where he serves as Chief Technology Officer. In his research work, Dr. Guo focuses on efficient, sustainable and intelligent sensing systems that blend hardware and software. His interests include embedded AI, high-performance computing, and developing smart, adaptive user interfaces for sectors such as IoT, automotive, healthcare, and extended / virtual reality (XR) experiences. Under his leadership, TG0 has developed novel technologies in touch, gesture, pressure and proximity sensing, often using flexible materials or surfaces with embedded intelligence. These innovations are designed to reduce reliance on traditional mechanical controls, improving both the ergonomic and environmental footprint of user interface systems.
Dr. Guo holds several distinguished professional titles: Senior Member of IEEE, Fellow of IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology), Fellow of the British Computer Society (BCS), and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA). He is also an RAEng (Royal Academy of Engineering) Industrial Fellow and serves as Visiting Senior Research Fellow at King’s College London. He has been successful in securing multiple research grants and innovation funding, including from Innovate UK, the European Innovation Council, the Royal Academy of Engineering, and other bodies. His work combines academic publication, invention/patenting, and product/market development through TG0. TG0, under Dr. Guo’s technical leadership, has achieved recognition in the UK and beyond for its growth and innovation. Their products and sensing platforms are used or explored in automotive dashboards, VR/AR controllers, smart devices, and medical technology applications. In addition to his industry role, Dr. Guo is active in academic and public engagement. He contributes as a STEM ambassador, mentors up-and-coming technologists, and holds honorary/visiting academic positions.
