Qiu Daowen is a full professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at Sun Yat-sen University, where he has been serving since 2004. His research primarily focuses on advanced computing paradigms, including quantum computing, distributed quantum algorithms, quantum machine learning, and quantum communication. In addition, his work extends to fuzzy systems, probabilistic models, and quantum discrete event systems, reflecting a broad and interdisciplinary approach to emerging computational technologies. Over the course of his academic career, he has published more than 200 peer-reviewed papers in leading international journals, contributing significantly to the development of theoretical and applied aspects of quantum information science. He is also actively involved in the academic community as an editor for several international journals, including Theoretical Computer Science.
