Amanda Kaine is a medical student at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, Touro University, Middletown, New York, United States. Her research interests focus on inflammation, cellular physiology, immunology, and the role of micronutrients in human health. Her current work, “Emerging Perspectives on Platelet-Activating Factor in Relation to Magnesium Levels at the Cellular, Tissue, and Systemic Levels in Disease States,” explores the interplay between platelet-activating factor and magnesium across multiple biological systems to improve the understanding of disease mechanisms and identify potential therapeutic strategies.
