Selwa Al-Hazzaa is a Saudi physician specializing in ophthalmology, inherited eye diseases and medical genetics. She has held senior clinical and academic positions and has contributed to research on retinal diseases and genetic eye disorders. She is also the founder and CEO of Saudi Development Medicine (SDM), a health-technology venture focused on using artificial intelligence for medical screening and diagnosis. She served as head of the Ophthalmology Department at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Riyadh and was a member of Saudi Arabia’s Shura Council.
