Herminiño C. Lagunzad is an Information Technology educator, researcher, and academic leader affiliated with the School of Engineering and Technology at National University–Fairview, Philippines, where he serves as the Program Chair of the Information Technology program and as a full-time faculty member. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Information Technology at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (University of the City of Manila). His research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT), data mining, predictive analytics, medical informatics, and information security. He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, including IEEE-indexed conference papers, covering diverse applications such as bacteriophage science, healthcare analytics, cybersecurity, and smart systems. His work has been presented at international conferences in Australia, China, Japan, and Thailand, and he has received recognition for his research contributions, including the PRAI 2023 Excellent Paper Presentation Award. In addition to his research activities, he serves as a Session Chair and Technical Committee Member for several international conferences. With extensive teaching experience in programming, networking, database systems, and information security, he is dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research that leverages artificial intelligence to address challenges in healthcare, engineering, and emerging technologies.
