Ephraim Suhir is a globally recognized scientist and engineer in applied mechanics, materials science, and reliability engineering of electronic and photonic systems. He is affiliated with Portland State University (USA), the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and Bordeaux University (France), and also serves as CEO of ERS Co., a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) company in Los Altos, California.

Dr. Suhir earned his PhD in Mechanics and Mathematics from Moscow State University and has made pioneering contributions to predictive analytical modeling, design-for-reliability (DfR), and probabilistic engineering. He is widely credited with establishing the discipline of Structural Analysis of Electronic and Photonic Systems and has authored more than 500 scientific publications.

A Life Fellow of IEEE, ASME, SPIE, and IMAPS, and Fellow of APS, IoP (UK), and SPE, he has received numerous prestigious awards, including the ASME Worcester Reed Warner Medal, IEEE Electronic Packaging Society Field Award, and IMAPS Lifetime Achievement Award. His research spans photonics, microelectronics reliability, probabilistic modeling, human-in-the-loop systems, and advanced materials, with lasting impact on aerospace, electronics, and engineering sciences worldwide.
