Panagiotis Vlamos is a Full Professor at the Department of Informatics, Ionian University, Corfu, Greece, and Director of the Bioinformatics and Human Electrophysiology Laboratory (BiHELab). He studied Mathematics at the University of Athens and obtained his PhD in Mathematics from the National Technical University of Athens. His research focuses on bioinformatics, computational biology, mathematical modelling, neuroinformatics, artificial intelligence in healthcare, and personalized medicine. He has contributed extensively to the study of neurodegenerative diseases and the development of computational methods for biomedical applications. Prof. Vlamos has published numerous scientific papers and books and is the founder of the GeNeDis (Genetics, Geriatrics and Neurodegenerative Diseases Research) conference series, promoting research and collaboration in genetics, aging, and brain health.
