Woong Kim is a Full Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering at Kyungpook National University. He also serves as an Associate Editor for the journal Biodegradation and holds several academic leadership roles, including Chairman of the College of Engineering Faculty Assembly, KNU Faculty Assembly member, KNU Senate member, and Arts & Culture Education Instructor. His research focuses on artificial intelligence and machine learning for data analysis and prediction, bioenergy production from organic waste, anaerobic digestion and biomethane production, as well as microalgae cultivation and biodiesel production. Based in Daegu, Republic of Korea, he leads the Microbial Energy Process Laboratory at the university.
