Julia Valeria de Oliveira Vargas Bitencourt is a nursing professional and academic at the Federal University of Fronteira Sul (UFFS), Brazil. Bachelor of Nursing and Obstetrics from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) in Mexico, with specialized studies in collective health and HIV at the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO). Holds a Master’s degree in Positive Health from the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) and is currently pursuing a Specialty in Community Well-being with an emphasis on Collective Health at the INSP. His professional trajectory has been developed through research and community-based work with civil society organizations, focusing on LGBT+ populations, people living with HIV, and other key populations such as people who use drugs, migrants, and groups in situations of heightened vulnerability.

Dr. Ioannidis is currently an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He studied medicine in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and graduated at 2005. He received his MSC in “Medical Research Methodology” in 2008 from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and in “Surgery of Liver, Biliary Tree and Pancreas” from the Democritus University of Thrace in 2016. He received his PhD degree in 2014 from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as valedictorian for his thesis “The effect of combined administration of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in ulcerative colitis. Experimental study in rats.” He is a General Surgeon with special interest in laparoscopic surgery and surgical oncology and also in surgical infections, acute care surgery, nutrition and ERAS and vascular access. He has received fellowships for EAES, ESSO, EPC, ESCP and ACS and has published more than 180 articles with more than 3000 citations and an H-index of 28

Yiqi (April) Liu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English Language Education at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), where she also serves as the Acting Head of the Centre for Language in Education (CLE). She earned her Ph.D. in English Language Education from the University of Hong Kong in 2015 and has taught discourse analysis and CLIL/LAC-related postgraduate courses while supervising master’s students at HKU. Her research expertise lies in sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, and bilingual education, with a particular focus on Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and Language across the Curriculum (LAC). In her work, she explores how translanguaging and trans-semiotizing pedagogies can enhance multilingual and multimodal meaning-making in diverse classroom contexts.

Omar Al-Qaisi from Al-Zaytoonah University is a nursing expert in oncology and emergency medicine. He holds a master’s degree in emergency and disaster medicine from Al-Zaytoonah University. He currently works as a part-time clinical instructor at Al-Zaytoonah University and also at the Military Oncology Center. He has experience using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) and the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool (MMAT) for research. His recent research focuses on sexual healthcare, selenium, orthopedics, sleep quality, pain management and patient satisfaction in oncology patients.

Melisa Stublla was a medical student from Kosovo, University of Prishtina, Faculty of Medicine and will graduate soon. Her main areas of interest include oncology, gynaecology, otorhinolaryngology, and medical research. She collaborates with her colleagues in the cancer research team of Professor Patricia Tai in Canada who serves as a mentor for them all.

Kalliopi Megari is Academic Director of the postgraduate program in Clinical Psychology and Lecturer at the University of York City College, Thessaloniki, and a Postdoctoral Researcher at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is a psychologist with expertise in Clinical Neuropsychology, Psychological Assessment, and Medical Education, holding degrees in Nursing, Psychology, a Master’s, and a PhD in Neuropsychology. Dr. Megari has extensive clinical and research experience with patients suffering from neurological, psychiatric, cognitive, and chronic diseases. She has served in leadership roles within the International Neuropsychological Society, American Psychological Association, and Hellenic Neuropsychological Society, among others. Currently, she is an Ambassador of the National Academy of Neuropsychology (USA) and actively promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion through her clinical, academic, and community work.

Sirma Todorova Angelova is an Associate Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Medical University–Varna, Bulgaria. She holds master’s degrees in Economics (2005) and Dental Medicine (2011), with a specialization in Pediatric Dentistry (2015) and a postgraduate degree on “Caries Risk Assessment and Prevention in Children with Renal Disorders” (2017). She is the author of the 2019 monograph “Epigenetic and Genetic Aspects of Oral Health in Children with Pyelonephritis”. Dr. Angelova has published over 90 papers, presented at more than 60 scientific congresses, and her research focuses on caries risk evaluation and prevention, gingival disorders, nutrition–oral health relationships, and the diagnostic potential of saliva in children.

Patricia Tai graduated with a gold medal from U. of Hong Kong in 1984. Since then she became an experienced clinical oncologist with expertise in skin and urologic cancers. She is one of the international experts on Merkel cell carcinoma, the author in UpToDate since 2000. Being the author of 149 full publications and 167 abstracts, honorary Professor of University of Hong Kong and clinical professor of U. Saskatchewan, Canada, she now works with UpToDate and welcomes collaborations on photodynamic therapy, Merkel cell carcinoma and prostate cancer.

Yousef Saleh Rubbai is a dedicated nursing educator and researcher in Jordan, specializing in critical care and palliative nursing. He serves as a Lecturer at the Princess Aisha Bint Al Hussein College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, where he also holds the role of Dean’s Assistant for Clinical Training and Quality. Dr. Rubbai actively mentors nursing students and contributes to advancing education and research in end-of-life care and patient quality of life.

Dr. Sanae El Bardai is a senior educator, researcher, and institutional leader in the field of healthcare and biomedical sciences. Currently serving as professor-researcher at the High Institute of Nursing Sciences and Health Techniques (ISPITS) in FES, she is actively involved in teaching and translational research. Her academic trajectory includes a former research affiliation with the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium, where she contributed to pioneering investigations in molecular biology. Prior to her current role, she gained valuable clinical and pedagogical experience as an assistant at the University Hospital Center of FES.

Liz studied her PhD at the University of Manchester funded through a highly competitive and prestigious NIHR Clinical Doctoral Research Fellowship. Her thesis reported ‘how patients are risk assessed for discharge from acute hospital care’. Liz published several outputs from her thesis namely; a Scoping Review of global discharge policies and this later informed Department of Health principles for discharging patients. She also published the ‘role of a discharge coordinator in acute care’ and ‘the patient and carer perspectives of the discharge lounge’.

Thanos Touloupis is an Assistant Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of the Aegean, Greece. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education from the University of Thessaly and completed his Master’s, PhD, and postdoctoral studies in Developmental and School Psychology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has taught at universities in Greece and Cyprus and has extensive experience in both mainstream and special education. His research focuses on problematic online behavior among students, including those with special educational needs, and its socio-emotional and academic influences. He also explores preventive interventions within school communities and has published widely in national and international journals.

Florence Wong graduated from The Nethersole School of Nursing of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and obtained her Registered Nurse License in Hong Kong in 1992. After obtaining the License, she worked as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit or Coronary Care Unit in various hospitals in Hong Kong and Vancouver, Canada. In Vancouver, she further obtained her Bachelor of Technology in Specialty Nursing (Critical Care Nursing) at British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in 1999, and earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing (Advanced Nursing) at The University of Hong Kong in 2007. In 2013, Dr. Wong received her Doctorate Degree (Doctor of Nursing) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
