Biography :

Fernanda G. L. Medeiros Borsagli is a Professor in Institute of Engineering, Science and Technology (IECT) at Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri (UFVJM). She is Material Engineering, Master and PhD at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG/Brazil) in the subject area Material Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry to environmental and biological applications. Research of environmental problems in the semiarid region and all Brazil country.

Her research interests include advanced and nanostructured materials, biomaterials, nanotechnology, polymers, environmental applications, and sustainable materials. Her work explores the development and characterization of innovative materials for biological, environmental, energy, and agro-industrial applications. She has contributed to research on chitosan-based biomaterials, cellulose-based nanocomposites, waste-derived materials, and sustainable technologies.

Dr. Borsagli is also a permanent faculty member of UFVJM’s Graduate Program in Science, Technology and Innovation, where she teaches advanced materials characterization and solid characterization techniques. Her research and academic activities contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable materials with potential applications in healthcare, environmental protection, and resource recovery.
