Biography:
Selena Samardžić Cvijanović is a full professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia. She holds an MSc degree in Environmental Sciences and a PhD in Nuclear Physics. Her scientific research centers on applied physics in environmental and occupational health and safety, with a particular focus on microclimatic conditions in living and working environments and the impact of noise. She currently leads the regional project “Acoustics, Urban Environment, Radionuclides from Dust, and Microclimate Assessment in Construction and Infrastructure Projects in Vojvodina.” Recently, she has been conducting research in waste management—including investigating radiological characteristics and using coal ash and pellets as secondary raw materials—to support a sustainable economy.
