Chi Wai Chow, Ph.D. is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Photonics at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), Taiwan, and a Fellow of OPTICA (formerly OSA). He earned his B.Eng. and Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and conducted postdoctoral research at CUHK and the Tyndall National Institute, University College Cork, Ireland. Since joining NYCU in 2007, he has advanced to full professor, with research focusing on visible light communication, optical wireless communication, silicon photonics, optical packet networks, and broadband access systems. He also serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Lightwave Technology and IEEE Photonics Journal.
