Stefano Sandrone is an acclaimed Italian neuroscientist and global leader in medical education, recognized for his innovative work in the field. He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Science Educator Award (SfN, 2019), A.B. Baker Teacher Recognition Award (AAN, 2020 and 2024), and the Distinguished Neurology Teacher Award (ANA, 2024), making him the youngest and first European recipient of this honor. Dr. Sandrone plays key roles in international committees, including the American Academy of Neurology and the Italian Ministry of Health. At Imperial College London, he co-directs the MRes Experimental Neuroscience and MSc Translational Neuroscience programs, focusing on active learning, metaverse integration in medical education, and mentoring women in neurology.
