Prof. Woong Kim, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering at Kyungpook National University, Republic of Korea. He leads the Microbial Energy Process Laboratory and conducts research in environmental engineering, microbial energy systems, and sustainable technologies. Prof. Kim serves as an Associate Editor of the journal Biodegradation (Springer Nature) and holds several academic leadership roles within the university, including Chairman of the College of Engineering Faculty Assembly and member of the University Senate. He is also actively involved in arts and culture education initiatives.
