Dr. Deborah T. Hung is a physician-scientist and Professor of Molecular Biology at Harvard Medical School and an investigator at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her research focuses on host–pathogen interactions, bacterial physiology, and discovery of new antimicrobial strategies, particularly targeting Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other human pathogens. Her laboratory combines chemical biology and microbiology to understand how bacteria survive inside hosts and to develop novel therapeutics. She has received major research awards and published widely in leading scientific journals.
