Jia Li has completed his PhD at the age of 27 years from Nanjing Agricultural University. Over the following five years, he conducted collaborative research in structural biology at the Center for Excellence in Molecular Plant Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Shanghai and later at the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing. His current research integrates plant virology, biochemistry, and structural biology to determine the three-dimensional structures and functions of key protein complexes formed by plant viral proteins and their host factors. Through these multidisciplinary approaches, his work aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying plant virus pathogenicity and plant immune responses.
