Dr. Olga Adriana Caliman-Sturdza is a lecturer at Stefan cel Mare University in Suceava, Faculty of Medicine and Biological Sciences. He graduated from the “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi and has a doctorate in Infectious Diseases. He also works as a senior specialist at the St. Ioan cel Nou County Clinical Hospital in Suceava, with 28 years of experience in the field of infectious diseases. She has been involved as a principal investigator in numerous clinical trials and international projects, with concerns in the field of SARS Cov-2 infection, long COVID-19, influenza, tuberculous meningitis, sepsis, viral hepatitis, endocarditis and spondylodiscitis. She is currently involved as a researchers in the projects: “Artificial intelligence-powered personalized health and genomics libraries for the analysis of long-term effects in COVID-19 patients” (AI-PHGL-COVID, Stefan cel Mare University from Suceava) and also investigator in project “Support4Resilience (S4R) – Strengthening resilience and mental wellbeing through the Support4Resilience toolbox for leaders in elderly care”, HORIZON-HLTH-2023-CARE-04.
She is interested in discovering and applying new methods for the diagnosis and treatment of long COVID-19 patients, and also actively involved in the study of microbiome and the connection with post-acute sequelae of SARS COV-2 infection. She is involved in promoting personalized treatments for patients with neuropsychiatric manifestation of long COVID-19, adapted to the patient’s needs.
