Biography:

Dr. François Saget is a Medical Doctor specializing in Emergency Medicine at CHU Rennes and Univ Rennes, France, where he works within the SAMU 35, SMUR, and Adult Emergency Department services. His professional and research activities focus on emergency medicine, prehospital care, patient-care pathways, sepsis, and the optimization of acute medical management. Dr. Saget is also involved in clinical research through Univ Rennes, EHESP, and the Rennes Clinical Investigation Centre (CIC1414). His research interests include improving prehospital emergency care, developing clinical decision tools, and evaluating innovative approaches to patient management. He has contributed to research on community-acquired sepsis and the assessment of patients requiring urgent respiratory support.

He is the lead investigator of the IPSTRAUC project, a cluster-randomized study evaluating the impact of a new approach to cervical-spine trauma management in stable, conscious patients in the prehospital setting. He has also published research examining low-dose ketamine as an alternative to morphine for prehospital analgesia in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction.
