Elvis Mawodzeke obtained his B.A. (Hons.) degree in Geography and Environmental Studies from Midlands State University, Zimbabwe, in 2016. He obtained his M Phil. degree in Environmental Sciences at University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), Scottsville, Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, in 2026. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree with Discipline of Geography and Environmental Science, School of Agricultural Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. His research lies in leveraging GIS and remote sensing technologies for advanced drone-based assessment and monitoring of water resources. Currently, he is working on integration of multispectral, hyperspectral and microwave data for mapping species remnants and spatiotemporal dynamics of nGongoni (Aristida junciformis) grass in communal rangelands.
