Dr Xing Liang is the Founder and Head of the Quantum AI (QAI) Research Group at Kingston University (KU), an Academic Champion of the Royal Academy of Engineering, and the RAEng Leverhulme Trust Research Fellow 2026-2027 UK. She received the PhD degree in mobile satellite communications from the University of Bradford, UK. Over the past 15 years, she has been led and contributed to multiple EU and UK research projects: H2020 ENSURESEC, H2020 EUNOMIA, EPSRC COMCORD, IST FIFTH, IST SatNEx, and Dunhill Medical Trust funded ATDA-BSL, alongside several industrial related research projects. Dr Liang is deeply commitment to academic excellence, serving as Lead Guest Editor for Electronics’ Special Issue: Advances in Quantum Machine Learning, Editorial Board Member of AI & Materials, and a reviewer for prestigious journals. Her research focuses on deep learning, machine learning and the convergence of quantum computing and artificial intelligence – quantum machine learning to unlock new capabilities in solving complex, real-world challenges such as finance time series forecasting, sustainable energy optimization, social media security and digital healthcare
