         <\/div>\n                   <div class=\"modal-body\">\n                    <p>Dr. Linglin Xie, MD, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Nutrition in the Department of Nutrition at Texas A&amp;M University (TAMU) (College Station, Texas). Dr. Xie&#8217;s journey in the field of Nutrition and healthy pregnancy began with a deep-rooted curiosity about the intricate relationship between food, health, and disease prevention. She earned her MD in Clinic Medicine (2000) and continued a graduate study with a special focus on reproductive medicine (2002) from Tongji Medical College of HUST in Wuhan, China. She completed her master\u2019s degree in human nutrition (2004) and Ph.D. in Cellular, Molecular, and Developmental Biology from Kansas State University (2008). Dr. Xie completed her postdoctoral training in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Chicago (2008-2011). Throughout her research career, Dr. Xie has dedicated herself to exploring various facets within the field of nutrition and development and their implications for human health. Her primary focus is investigating the complex interplay between maternal factors, environmental exposures, and their effects on offspring health. Specifically, her interests encompass four major fields: (1) studying the interactions between environmental and maternal factors in promoting healthy pregnancy and offspring development; (2) examining the impact of maternal nutrition on offspring obesity and metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD); (3) gaining an understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying liver cancer; (4) exploring the regulatory gene network involved in heart development. Over the past five years, Dr. Xie has authored and co-authored over 30 original articles published in high-impact journals, with more than 20 of them being major contributions reported by her group. Dr. Xie\u2019s research has received support from extramural grants, including funding from prestigious organizations such as the NIH, the AHA, and CPRIT. He then continued to lead the field of epithelial stem cell biology in his own laboratory as the Principal Investigator and Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and the Boston University School of Dental Medicine. He has authored 3 books, 362 scientific papers (54 book chapters, 153 peer-reviewed publications and 134 abstracts).<\/p>\n<p>Among his many contributions to the field: a) He pioneered the technique of in vitro maturation of oocytes (IVM) for women with ovarian resistance to FSH; b) Reported the role of ZO-1 in trophoblastic cells differentiation in human placenta; c) Described the Follicular Output RaTe (FORT) as a mean to assess follicular responsiveness to exogenous FSH; d) Reported differential regulation of ovarian anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) by Estradiol through \u03b1- and \u03b2- Estrogen receptors; e) Investigated the role of AMH for preventing primordial ovarian follicle loss and fertility alteration following cyclophosphamide administration. Mahon obtained her PhD in Psychiatric Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, following her education at Boston University. After completing a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Psychiatric Genetics at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, she pursued advanced training in neuroimaging and stress neuroendocrinology. Gail began her career in higher education in 2003 at Edinburgh Napier University. Gail was the Lead Midwife for Education form 2014 &#8211; 2020. Gail is part of the School&#8217;s Senior Leadership team and holds the position of Head of International . Gail in her role as Lead Midwife for Education has fostered strong links with clinical practice, particularly Lothian , Forth Valley, Fife and Borders. Gail is also a member of the Maternity Services Liaison Committee , enabling a strong link with the users of the maternity services. Her research interests include obesity, particularly during childbirth and midwifery education. Gail is a Senior Teaching Fellow, and currently teaches both pre-registration and post registration students.<br \/>\nGail has a keen interest in Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) research methodology and facilitates an IPA research group within the School of Health and Social Care. With a bachelor&#8217;s degree from the New School for Social Research and advanced degrees from UC Berkeley, she has held faculty positions at Wayne State University, Universitat Rovira I Virgil, and Columbia University. Browner&#8217;s research, funded by prestigious institutions including NSF, NIH, and CDC, focuses on gender, reproduction, and health. She has served on numerous advisory boards and committees, contributing to research on women&#8217;s and Latino health issues in California, the U.S.-Mexico border, and Mexico.
