Biography:
\n<\/strong>
\nDr. Bhawna Yadav Lamba is a Professor of Chemistry at UPES, Dehradun, with more than 22 years of teaching, research, and academic leadership experience. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and an M.E. in Polymer Technology. Her research focuses on sustainable waste management, circular economy, plastic-waste valorization, wastewater remediation, biofuels, and the conversion of waste materials into value-added products.<\/p>\n

She has made significant contributions to the thermochemical conversion of municipal, mixed, and medical plastic waste, including discarded PPE kits, into hydrocarbon fuels. Her current research also explores microalgae-mediated wastewater reclamation integrated with biooil, biogas, and biomaterial production. She has successfully completed couple of government\/externally funded projects on waste management, integrated wastewater treatment and resource recovery etc.<\/p>\n

Dr. Lamba has published more than 60 research articles in reputed international journals and holds couple of granted patents including two for converting PPE kits into fuel. Her recent work includes research on medical-plastic-waste valorization, catalytic pyrolysis, circular polymer recycling, and AI-assisted optimization of waste-conversion processes.<\/p>\n

Her contributions have been recognized through the S.R. Bhatnagar Memorial Research Award for Alternate Fuels, the Young Scientist Award, and the IGEN Women Achiever Award for her commitment to green communities and energy efficiency.
