Hugo M. Arelovich graduated from the Universidad Nacional del Sur (Argentina), he earned an M.Sc. from Oklahoma State University (USA) and a PhD in Animal Nutrition, with additional training at Texas Tech University and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (Lethbridge). He is an animal scientist specialized in ruminant nutrition, with expertise in performance, metabolism, grazing systems, and meat quality. He served 38 years as Full Professor at UNS, 30 years as Researcher at CIC, and was President of the Asociación Argentina de Producción Animal (AAPA), fostering collaboration with the American Society of Animal Science (ASAS). He has published 56 research articles and 10 book chapters, supervised graduate students, and consulted for the feed industry and beef cattle producers. His honors include Fulbright and Kellogg scholarships, the OSU Graduate of Distinction award, and ASAS’s President’s Award for International Achievements.
