Sunan Shen is a Chinese immunologist affiliated with the Division of Immunology at the Medical School of Nanjing University in Nanjing. He is associated with the State Key Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and the Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Molecular Medicine. His research work mainly focuses on immunology, cancer biology, tumor microenvironment, and immune-related mechanisms in disease progression. Professor Shen has contributed to studies exploring the relationship between microorganisms, immunity, and cancer treatment resistance. One notable publication investigated how Candida tropicalis promotes chemotherapy resistance in colorectal cancer through lactate production and regulation of the mismatch repair system. In addition to research activities, Sunan Shen has also served in academic leadership roles at the Medical School of Nanjing University, participating in major medical and immunology conferences and promoting interdisciplinary biomedical research initiatives.
