He is also a Senior Global Futures Scientist andan Alliance Fellow of the Mayo Clinic–ASU Alliance for Health Care. His research combinesmaterials science, robotics, and biology to develop soft and magnetic robotic systems for medicalapplications. His work has appeared in Science, PNAS, and Advanced Materials, and has beenfeatured by The New York Times and BBC. He has received multiple national awards for innovationin robotics and healthcare technology.
