Dr. Tulio Armanini Blanco Souza graduated from the Federal University of Santa Maria (Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil) in 2007. He specializes in the use of permanent fillers to restore volume and treat facial and body irregularities and depressions. He coordinates and leads research for the 1st Brazilian and World Consensus on PMMA, a synthetic polymer used as a permanent filler in aesthetic procedures and to correct lipodystrophy, a change in body-fat distribution that may occur, for example, in people living with HIV. He has also been an international speaker on permanent fillers for more than 14 years.
