With over 100 publications and around 750 citations, Dr. Tóth has made significant contributions to crop science and sustainable agriculture. She continues her work in advancing plant stress research and food science at the University of Debrecen.
Jinbo Shen
China
Name : Jinbo Shen
University : Zhejiang A&F University
Country : China
Professor Jinbo Shen is a plant molecular cell biologist and Professor at the State Key Laboratory of Subtropical Silviculture, Zhejiang A&F University (ZAFU), where he also serves as a doctoral supervisor. He obtained his Bachelor’s (2001) and Master’s (2008) degrees in Science from Zhejiang Normal University, followed by a PhD in Biology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2013, where he later conducted postdoctoral research. In 2018, he joined Zhejiang A&F University as a faculty member. Professor Shen has been recognized with several prestigious honors, including selection as a National Youth Talent, Zhejiang Province Overseas Innovation Talent, recipient of the Excellent Young Scientist Fund of Zhejiang Province, and participant in the province’s High-Level Leading Talent Training Program in Higher Education. His research focuses on protein trafficking and sorting within the plant endosomal–vacuole system, the molecular mechanisms of nutrient storage protein sorting during seed development, and how vacuolar protein sorting responds to environmental stresses such as drought. He has also developed advanced organelle biology tools, including fluorescent marker systems and transient expression methods for plant cells. Professor Shen has published widely in leading journals, with recent works including studies on mitochondrial energy homeostasis in Moso bamboo, live measurement of organelle pH in plants, and the role of ESCRT protein ALIX in receptor-mediated vacuolar protein sorting.
