Bo Sun is a joint PhD candidate at China University of Petroleum (East China) and the University of Calgary. In China, he is affiliated with the Institute of Oil and Gas Wells. He received his master’s degree from China University of Petroleum (East China) in 2023. His research mainly focuses on rock mechanics in oil and gas well engineering, including efficient heavy oil recovery, intelligent prediction of the three formation pressures, underground energy storage technologies, acid fracturing, and sand production and sand control. His research has been published in several well-known journals and conference proceedings, with more than 20 papers and patents to his name.
