Prof. Manuel Sánchez Luna, MD, PhD, is the Medical Director of the Neonatology Division and NICU at Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón, Madrid, and Full Professor of Pediatrics at the Complutense University of Madrid. With over three decades of experience in neonatology, he specializes in mechanical ventilation, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, respiratory physiology, sepsis, shock, and personalized nutrition. He has authored more than 250 scientific publications and delivered over 350 lectures at international and national congresses. Prof. Sánchez Luna has held leadership roles as Ex-President of UENPS and INA, and currently serves as President of the Spanish Society of Neonatology (2019–2025) and Chair of Neonatal Critical Care at ESPNIC. A Fellow of the International Academy of Perinatal Medicine, he is widely recognized for advancing neonatal critical care, research, and education globally.
