{"id":5320,"date":"2026-06-04T12:45:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-04T12:45:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cognitionconferences.com\/optics\/?post_type=speaker&#038;p=5320"},"modified":"2026-06-04T12:45:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T12:45:08","slug":"marco-genovese","status":"publish","type":"speaker","link":"https:\/\/cognitionconferences.com\/optics\/speaker\/marco-genovese\/","title":{"rendered":"Marco Genovese"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the last years the specific properties of quantum states (as entanglement), for long time considered as peculiarities discussed by the restricted community of physicists interested in the foundations of quantum mechanics, became a fundamental resource for the development of new technologies (as quantum communication, computation and imaging), collectively dubbed \u201cquantum technologies\u201d.<br \/>\nIn this talk, after a general presentation of quantum imaging [1] (from sub shot noise imaging to quantum illumination), I will present the most recent progress in quantum phase imaging, demonstrating as, in this case, the problem, typical of sub shot noise imaging [2, 3]], related to the trade-off between resolution and noise suppression can be eliminated [3, 4], paving the way to practical applications of this technique.<br \/>\nReferences<br \/>\n[1] M.Genovese, Journal of Optics, 18 (2016) 073002.<br \/>\n[2] G. Member of the Academy of Science of Turin. His works concern the development of quantum technologies in quantum optics, in particular having given significant contributions to the birth of experimental quantum metrology-imaging &amp; sensing, most significant: Nv centers-ODMR measurements in neurons, sub shot noise imaging, quantum illumination, quantum-enhanced correlation interferometry, characterisation of detectors POVM, sequential weak and protective measurements, quantum reading, innovative QKD schemes,\u2026He published over 300 papers, more than 200 on JCR journals (H index GS
