Graduated in Dentistry from the Federal University of Pelotas (2005). Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology from the same institution (2008). Master’s degree (2009) and Ph.D. (2014) in Dentistry, with a concentration in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology, from PUCRS. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and Traumatologist at the University Hospital of the Federal University of Santa Maria since 2015. Member of the Clinical Teaching Staff at the University Hospital of Santa Maria. Adjunct Professor in the Department of Stomatology and Coordinator of the Dentistry Program at the Federal University of Santa Maria. Research line focused on biomaterials in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology.

Since then, I have delved deep into the complexities of nuclear safety protocols, honing my expertise in methodologies that enable precise risk calculations within environments handling radioactive materials. Carlos N Elias has completed his PhD at Instituto Militar de Engenharia – Brazil. He is a Professor of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs in Materials Science. Collaborating with Brazilian companies to develop dental materials, osseointegrated dental implants, modification of the surfaces of dental implants, instruments for endodontics, orthodontic appliances, orthopedic and dental prostheses, absorbable materials, and 3D printing. He developed commercial products for companies, including zirconia discs for manufacturing dental prostheses, surface treatment processes for dental implants (acid etching, blasting, and anodizing), prosthetic components, and surgical instruments.

Sofiene MELLOULI is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of energy engineering. He currently holds the position of Associate Professor at the College of Engineering, Jazan University, in Saudi Arabia. Mellouli has a strong educational foundation, having obtained his degrees from the prestigious National Engineering School at the University of Monastir in Tunisia. His academic journey includes: Ph.D. in Energy Engineering (2010); Master in Energy Engineering (2006); and Engineer in Energy (2005). Mellouli’s research interests and expertise span a wide range of topics in the energy engineering field, including: Sustainable and Renewable Energy, and thermal energy storage. Mellouli has an impressive publication record, having authored and published over 50 international research papers in his areas of expertise.

Dr Force Tefo Thema is a reputable Scientist who has Baccaleurus of Technology Degree in Chemistry, Master of Technology Degree in Chemistry and PhD in Physics Nanotechnology/Material Science. He is the recipient of several awards and honours among them is the first prize winner of the Botswana National Research Excellence award 2023 (Early Career category). He is the Editorial Board member of the Nanomedicine and Nanotechnology Open Access (NNOA) and DECENT database journals. Thema published widely in Nanotechnology in the material science space with over fifty articles in high impact journals, seven book chapters and a book titled “Nanosciences/Nanotechnology a gear towards the nano scaled World”.

Dr. Sabir Hussain is currently a post-doctoral researcher at Tyndall National Institute/UCC, Cork, Ireland. From 2021-2023, he served as a post-doctoral researcher at the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology (NCNST), China. He received his PhD degree from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), Beijing, China in 2021.

Mahdiyar Shahbazi is a Lecturer at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU University) in Vienna, Austria with over 10 years of experience in the application of innovative sustainable biomaterials (biopolymer, composite, and nanoparticles) in the 3D printing process. His primary research goals are directed toward the theoretical and analytical understanding of the changes in Bio-macromolecules and Biomaterials Structures (at the molecular level) through different types of 3D printing systems. He has also worked in the bio-fabrication of materials by different types of 3D printing technology to valorize the 3D printed objectives with enhanced multi-functionality. He also has a solid background to lead the research on colloids and interface, soft matter, as well as the behavior of biomaterials upon different 3D printing systems. In the latter case, I have systematically focused on the kinetic evaluation of the biomaterials’ molecular behavior under extrusion-based or laser powder bed fusion 3D printing systems to highlight the important role of the printing conditions on biopolymer processability.

The accomplishments of creating this noteworthy list of research areas are associated with the actual coordination and academics in addition to the industry involvement of Dr. Shahbazi, linking faculty and industry partners from numerous disciplines, and securing considerable research funds. Dr. Shahbazi has published abundant peer-reviewed articles and conference papers and offered broadly at national and international meetings as keynote and invited talks.
