Biography :\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bernd Salzberger is a distinguished German physician, internist, and expert in infectious diseases, widely recognized for his contributions to clinical infectiology and medical research. He was born on December 29, 1956, in Germany. Salzberger pursued studies in both mathematics and medicine at the Universities of Bonn and Cologne from 1977 to 1987. He later specialized in internal medicine and completed his doctoral degree (Dr. med.) in 1990.<\/p>\n

Prof. Salzberger has had a long and influential academic and clinical career. In 2001, he was appointed Professor and became the head of Clinical Infectiology at the University Hospital Regensburg, a position he held until his retirement in 2024. Over more than two decades, he played a key role in developing the field of infectiology in Germany and advancing patient care for infectious diseases.
