He previously worked at the University of Johannesburg where he was a senior lecturer, Head of Department (Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences Department), and Vice-Dean for Teaching and Learning (Faculty of Health Sciences), and at the Durban University of Technology where he was a senior lecturer. Most recently (2022) he was a Faculty Adjunct at the Higher Colleges of Technology (United Arab Emirates). He is currently the New Zealand Institute of Medical Radiation Technology (NZIMRT) Board member as the Auckland\/Northland Regional Director, and a member of the artificial intelligence collaboration of professional bodies in Australia and New Zealand (formed by NZIMRT, RANZCR, ACPSEM, ASA, ASUM, ASMIRT, CNSA). He is also a committee member of the Australia and New Zealand Medical Radiation Research Network (ANZMRRN). He was responsible for co-leading the development and implementation of the first Cardiac Ultrasound programme in New Zealand with the first cohort enrolled in February 2024."}
