Prof. Salem Chouaib is the Director of the Thumbay Research Institute for Precision Medicine and Vice Chancellor for Research at Gulf Medical University. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University Pierre and Marie Curie (Paris VI) and Pasteur Institute (Paris). He received his Ph.D. in immunology from the University Pierre and Marie Curie in 1983 and his higher doctorate in 1986. He has extensive experience in tumor immunology and is a member of several professional societies.
