Dr. Jiangfeng Guo is a full Professor at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, with internationally recognized expertise in thermal science and advanced low-carbon energy systems. Prior to his current appointment, he held positions as Research Fellow at Imperial College London, Professor at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Researcher at the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.<\/p>\n
Professor Guo\u2019s pioneering research focuses on heat transfer enhancement theory, supercritical CO2 energy utilization, high-performance compact heat exchangers, and integrated renewable energy systems. He has made seminal contributions to the field: he established the distribution coordination principle for heat exchanger system optimization, developed innovative airfoil-fin printed circuit heat exchangers for supercritical CO2 Brayton cycles, and uncovered the coupled heat transfer physics of supercritical fluids under asymmetric heating conditions. His findings have translated into industrial solutions for low-grade waste heat recovery and next-generation solar thermal power systems.<\/p>\n
As principal investigator, he has led over 10 high-impact national and international research programs, including China\u2019s National Key R&D Program, the EU Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme, and multiple General and Young Scientist grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. These projects have advanced both fundamental understanding and engineering deployment of efficient energy technologies.<\/p>\n
Professor Guo has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers in leading journals with the majority ranked in JCR Q1. He has co-authored three English scholarly monographs and holds over 10 authorized invention patents.<\/p>\n
His scholarly achievements have earned wide international recognition. He has been continuously named on both the Annual and Lifetime Scientific Impact Rankings of World\u2019s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University from 2021 to 2025.
