He is the head of functional unit in that Department and holds a PhD in Inorganic and Bioinorganic Chemistry by Complutense University of Madrid (Mention of European Doctorate). Similarly, Dr. Gal\u00e1n is an expert in instrumental techniques by Faculty of Chemical Sciences (Complutense University of Madrid) and holds a Master in Computer Science and Management as well as 31 specific courses. Dr. Gal\u00e1n has published more than 190 scientific-technical reports as well as more than 40 oral communications in international congresses. Dr. Gal\u00e1n has been served as a member of Directive Board of a Scientific Society such Spanish Society for Environment Health (2013-2017), member of Scientific and Management Committees in Scientific Congresses (&gt;50 events from 2020), Editorial Board Member for Annals of Civil and Environment Engineering, Journal of Epidemiology and Global Health Research and Environmental Science: Research and Reviews, technical assistant for the Expert Committee for air quality assessment during a large fire at a used tire landfill, as well as a member of board of national competitive exams in the field of research for Research Public Organizations on numerous occasions (2006-2019). Nowadays, he acts as a National Secretary of the Normalization Technical Committee SC2: Air, belonging to Spanish Association of Normalization. he is a Technical-Scientific Committee member for RELAB (Network of Biological Alert Laboratories). In teaching, Dr. Gal\u00e1n has been part of the Teachers Board in courses and masters of environmental techniques and air pollution. In researching, Dr. Gal\u00e1n has published &gt; 45 publications indexed in Scopus, 8 chapters of books, and he has been main research of 3 research projects and was included in the research team of numerous international research projects and contracts with the Public Administration.
