She is the leader of the Nutritional Control of the Epigenome Group at IMDEA Food (Spain), She is also member of the International Society of Nutrigenetics\/Nutrigenomics, the AtheroNET European COST Action, and the American Society of Nutrition. Her research line focuses on the identification of epigenetic mechanisms modulated by diet and the nutritional-guided modulation of those mechanism to prevent cardiometabolic diseases.
