Her research has been funded by the VA, NIH\/NLM, HRSA, and other agencies, focusing on communication in telehealth, dementia caregiving, and chronic disease management. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Eukaryotic Molecular Biotechnology Laboratory at CBS.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"408\" data-end=\"730\">Her research focuses on biotechnology, particularly the study and application of lipolytic enzymes, including lipases and galactolipases, for the sustainable valorization of biomass. She has extensive experience in molecular biology, enzyme purification, and biochemical characterization.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"732\" data-end=\"1069\">Dr. Belhaj has also supervised internships, conducted practical courses, and contributed to teaching in the field of biotechnology. Her research emphasizes green chemistry approaches aimed at developing biosourced solutions for industrial applications such as bioactive compounds, biodiesel, and biosurfactants.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1071\" data-end=\"1341\">Her work highlights environmentally friendly methods and explores the potential of enzymatic processes in renewable resource management.
